Job Summary
Support and reinforce the therapeutic plan by providing guidance to residents in daily living activities and offering mentorship on behavior according to established guidelines. Collaborate with coworkers to implement treatment plans, ensure resident safety, and maintain a positive, respectful, and clean therapeutic environment. Adapt interactions based on individual client phases, privileges, and restrictions while working effectively with families to reinforce positive partnerships. Plan and participate in off-campus resident activities, including transportation to home visits, doctor appointments, and recreational events. This role involves an overnight shift from 10:00pm to 8:30am with a 30 or 40-hour schedule, paying $23.00+ per hour at our new 14-bed facility in Eugene, Oregon, serving justice-involved youth ages 12–17.
Required Qualifications
- 21 Years of Age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- valid driver's license
- desire to work in the human services field & caring for at-risk youth
- ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges
- open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention exam and training
- ability to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of clients
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours)
- ability to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential treatment facility
