Job Summary
Teach Math and ELA to rising 5th–8th graders during a summer program, delivering standards-based instruction using the Lavina RISE curriculum (training provided). Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment; differentiate for diverse learners including students with disabilities and multilingual learners; assess and monitor progress and provide feedback, adjusting instruction as needed. Collaborate with summer camp staff to integrate academic learning with camp activities; participate in required training, meetings, and planning; supervise students during instructional time and ensure safety in line with Michigan childcare guidelines and Matrix policies.
Required Qualifications
- Certified teachers with experience supporting students with disabilities or multilingual learners
- Current Michigan-certified teachers, including those with limited classroom experience
- Former educators or individuals currently pursuing teacher certification
- Must be able to show proof of certification(s)
