Job Summary
Direct youth support for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder in ISPs/IEPs, delivering one-on-one and small-group assistance, implementing behavior support strategies with positive reinforcement, and facilitating structured activities to build social, life skills and engagement. Responsibilities include documenting daily notes and progress, communicating with supervisors, clinicians, educators, and families, and collaborating with BCBAs and interdisciplinary teams to maintain a safe, inclusive environment in on-site and community-based settings. Preferred qualifications include associate's or bachelor's degree in related fields and ABA-informed experience; flexible availability including afternoons/evenings/weekends; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; CPI/PMT or crisis intervention training is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to follow behavior support plans and individualized programming
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy or challenging situations
