Job Summary
Assist with weekly youth gatherings, including setup, teardown, and hosting activities across middle school, high school, and pre-teen ministries. Collaborate with the Youth & Family Pastor to deliver meaningful worship, teaching moments, and small group leadership for students and volunteers. Maintain clear communication with staff, families, and student leaders while supporting volunteer coordination and training. Participate in regular prayer, study, and training sessions for spiritual and professional growth. This role supports the Westside Youth team's rapidly growing church ministries, fostering a Christ-centered community through consistent presence and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to connect with students, parents, and volunteers
- Experience working with youth (in church, camp, school, or volunteer setting)
- Available for a non-traditional schedule including Sundays and weekday evenings
- Criminal History Check Required
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of paid or significant volunteer experience in youth ministry or discipleship
- Experience leading small groups or mentoring students
- Basic media, or tech skills (ProPresenter, or sound/video helpful)
- Group management skills such as leading games, making announcements, and hosting events
- Ability to assist with volunteer coordination and training
- Comfort speaking or teaching in front of groups
- Comfortable using Planning Center and/or similar volunteer or scheduling platforms
