Job Summary
Youth Apprentice in Med Surg assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation; measures and documents vitals and other patient data, documents in EMR, and participates in admission/transfer/discharge under RN supervision; performs rounds, communicates observations, maintains supplies and equipment, and assists in lifting/transferring patients with proper technique and assistive devices; must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development for age-specific patient needs and complete required hospital-based certifications; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days and Nurse Aide in good standing required; no formal education required; part-time role with flexible schedule; location at Aurora Medical Center Burlington, US.
