Job Summary
Greet consumers and visitors in person or by phone, respond to inquiries, and conduct site screening procedures. Support ill, distressed, or emotionally escalated individuals with calm, professional de-escalation and supportive listening. Monitor and restock first aid kits, perform monthly audits, and maintain accurate medication and lab documentation in the EMR system. Obtain vital signs, collect urine specimens, and respond to medical emergencies by notifying EMS and assisting staff. Conduct regular safety checks, remove hazardous objects, and perform light cleaning tasks including laundry and sanitizing areas. Complete required documentation, attend team meetings, and communicate daily with clinical staff regarding clinical and administrative matters.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to work well with diverse populations, including children
- Ability to assess situations quickly, problem-solve, and implement appropriate interventions
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes
- Expertise in crisis de-escalation and resolution techniques
- Up-to-date knowledge of behavioral management and de-escalation strategies
- Ability to assess situations quickly, prioritize urgency and risks, and make timely, sound decisions that benefit the consumer and program
- Capacity to remain calm and collaborate effectively as part of a team during crisis situations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years of crisis work experience
