Job Summary
Perform a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to support department and division managers in Youth Alternatives. responsibilities include compiling workload and stat reports, proofreading documents and correspondence, coordinating calendars and travel, maintaining and organizing records, handling payments and receipts, collecting specimens for chemical testing, requisitioning materials, and supporting budgeting and grant reporting. The role requires independent judgment and initiative in secretarial tasks, minute taking, maintaining client databases for grant and year-end reporting, and providing information to the public while adhering to department policies and procedures. Strong communication, data entry, document preparation, and basic office software skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years post high school education or experience in accounting, and grant reporting
- Experience in accounting, budget development, and grant reporting
- Applicant must be able to pass a complete criminal background check which includes fingerprinting and child abuse registry
