Job Summary
Provide advice to Council on matters significantly impacting Beaumont youth, including mental health supports, activities, volunteer employment, and civic engagement. Attend monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm, with a minimum of ten annual sessions. Convey ideas clearly, listen actively, and work effectively within a team while planning and prioritizing commitments to ensure meaningful impact. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, think strategically for the community's best interests, and maintain punctuality and reliability. Members must be Beaumont residents aged 15 to 19 at appointment and serve a two-year term with a maximum of two consecutive terms. Eligible for an honorarium.
Required Qualifications
- Members must be residents of Beaumont
- Must be between the age of 15 and 19 at the time of appointment
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and engage in community development and initiatives that are specific to youth
- Able to convey ideas clearly and listen actively
- Work effectively within a team
- Plan and prioritize to ensure you can dedicate enough time to make a meaningful impact
- Be punctual and reliable to show respect for both your fellow volunteers and the community
- A willingness to think strategically for the best interests of the community
