Job Summary
Preschool Teacher under the supervision of the Childcare Director, responsible for assisting with development and operation of a quality early care/childcare program compliant with Delacare and Delaware Stars; implement developmentally appropriate curriculum; collaborate with families to set individual learning goals; include children with varying needs; organize activities to promote physical, mental, and social development; plan lessons and assessments; adapt teaching methods and materials; maintain student records in line with OCCL and Delaware Stars; communicate progress with parents; meet Delaware First/OCCL requirements and education prerequisites (High School Diploma and TECE I or 6 college credits in ECE; Early Childhood Administrative Certificate); Saturday and field-trips potential; hours Monday-Friday; full-time benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and TECE I or 6 college credits in ECE
- Early Childhood Administrative Certificate required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with children ages 3-5 years old
- Preferred Associate degree in related field (early childhood, psychology, social work, etc.)
