Job Summary
Youth Activity Worker- Preschool needed to assist with developing and operating an early care program compliant with Delacare and Delaware Stars requirements. Responsibilities include implementing developmentally appropriate curricula, collaborating with families to set learning goals, planning inclusive activities, organizing space for safe, creative play, observing and documenting children's progress, maintaining records, and participating in professional development. Requires collaboration with the Childcare Director and staff, adherence to program standards, and engagement in a wide range of activities to support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of 3-5 year-olds. Education requirements include Delaware First and OCCL licensing needs, 18+ age, and TECE I or equivalent college credits; Associate degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Delaware First and OCCL Requirements for Early Childhood: Early Childhood Administrative Certificate required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience working with children ages 3-5 years old
- High School Diploma and TECE I or 6 college credits in ECE
- Preferred: Associate degree in related field (early childhood, psychology, etc.)
