Job Summary
Youth Activity Worker responsible for leading age-6 to 12 programs, recruitment, program development and evaluation, community outreach, and professional development across Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware sites. Role includes supervising children, ensuring safety and licensing compliance, delivering age-appropriate activities aligned with core program areas, and supporting staff development. Position is full-time (minimum 30 hours/week) with benefits; YDP 30 positions may float to other sites within the region to ensure adequate coverage; Summer Fun Club hours may fluctuate above 30 hours/week; requires state-licensing compliance and completion of required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Level Two certification: 20 years of age or older; ability to drive 8-passenger van; valid driver’s license with less than 5 points; First Aid/CPR Certification or completion within two months of date of hire; School Age Site Assistant Certificate from the Department of Education
- Level Three certification: School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education; 20 years of age or older; ability to drive 8-passenger van; First Aid/CPR Certification or completion within two months of date of hire
