Youth Activity Worker

Job Summary
Deliver age-appropriate programs and activities for children ages 6–12, incorporating high-yield learning activities while ensuring safe implementation of equipment and facilities. Directly supervise youth in compliance with state licensing regulations and address non-compliance issues as needed. Perform member recruitment, program development and evaluation, community outreach, and professional development within club operations. Maintain productive relationships with parents, school faculty, administrators, and community leaders while presenting yourself as a positive role model. Assist with office of child care licensing annual training requirements and assume other tasks as directed. Work split shifts Monday through Friday with occasional statewide travel for training.
Required Qualifications
- Level Two
- 20 years of age or older
- ability to drive 8 passenger van
- valid driver's license with less than 5 points
- First Aid/CPR Certification, or completion of certification within two months of date of hire
- School Age Site Assistant Certificate from the Department of Education
- Level Three
- School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education
- occasional statewide travel
- transfer from one department to another
- transfer from one club/school
- Monday –Friday
- Split shift 6:30am-9am & 2pm-6pm
- high energy level
- comfortable working with children ages 6-12 in varying levels of physical activity
- lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- bends, stoops, walks and sometimes runs on a regular basis
- perform duties effectively under stressful conditions
- ability to make decisions quickly and accurately with tact and impartiality
- understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
