Job Summary
Greet members and guests professionally while responding to inquiries and managing telephone communications. Assist with event set-up, decorations, and safety checks before hosting pool activities, camps, and holiday events. Supervise younger members in a safe environment, verify identification, and handle kids' meals while ensuring cleanliness and secure locking of the playroom. Comply strictly with club standards, monitor allergies and special needs, and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding unforeseen circumstances. Perform other duties as assigned by managers in a busy, fast-paced indoor/outdoor setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of Outlook, internet applications, and use of office equipment
- Knowledge of and ability to perform a required role in emergencies
- Ability to safely lift items to 30 pounds
- Ability to reach, bend, and stoop
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods
- Must be able to convey information and ideas
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and education levels
- Excellent team player with the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members, guests, clients, and employees
- Must possess excellent communication skills including strong verbal, written, and positive interpersonal skills
- Ability to project voice and get the attention and cooperation of young members
- Must know about age-appropriate activities and enjoy working with all age groups
- Ensure knowledge of all children's allergies and special needs
- Be knowledgeable of and comply, at all times, with the Club's standards, policies, and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
- Supervise children and use good judgment when in our care. Adhere to all rules regarding younger members
- Assist parents in signing their children in and out and checking identification
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates
