Job Summary
Part-Time Youth Academic Professional position (up to 29 hours/week, 9-month school year) at Blue Door Academy in Jefferson Elementary School, Wauwatosa, WI. Responsible for planning, facilitating, and delivering structured afterschool enrichment activities for youth in grades 4K-5th, following BGCA program models, ensuring safe, engaging environments, building positive relationships with youth and families, and adhering to established routines and safety protocols. Requires arriving prepared, delivering high-quality programming with fidelity, maintaining real-time child tracking, and participating in onboarding and ongoing professional development. Roles emphasize supportive relationships, instructional engagement, and standards-based programming under the supervision of the Club Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background checks, fingerprinting, TB and physical tests (and other regulatory clearances) prior to hire
- CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- Mandated Reporter training upon hire
- Wisconsin Childcare Registry/Certification classes and clearances within 90 days
- Wisconsin Childcare Registry Level 7 or above preferred
