Job Summary
Young Dancer Instructor needed for YMCA Dance Academy programs in ballet, tap, and hip hop for ages 2-6. Responsibilities include teaching technique classes, choreographing for the end-of-year performance, and maintaining schedules with afternoon availability on a part-time basis. Must have prior experience teaching multiple dance genres, provide references, and submit video examples of past work. Independent work attitude and strong relationship-building skills are essential. A 10-panel drug screen and Level 2 background check are required. Locations will be at YMCA Greater St. Petersburg sites based on schedule. Pay range is $18.00-$22.00 per hour with benefits and YMCA membership perks.
Required Qualifications
- Instructors must have previous experience teaching a variety of dance genres to all age levels
- References are required and videos of past work preferred
- Part-time schedule with afternoon availability during the week
- All instructors teach technique classes as well as choreograph for the end of year performance
- Must be able to work independently, have excellent relationship building skills and a passion for teaching dance
- Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen
- Clear a Level 2 background check
