Job Summary
Manage a caseload of high school graduates and young adults to guide them through college applications, financial aid, and vocational training. Create and execute workshops covering college readiness, career development, and personal well-being while maintaining organized participant files in the program database. Cultivate relationships with participants and community partners, including schools, universities, and trade programs, to ensure seamless program implementation. Travel between clubhouse locations and off-site meetings to connect students with career opportunities and facilitate alumni engagement for fundraising and mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years working with high school-aged youth & young adult students
- Ability to assist with the navigation of completing high school, college application, & financial aid systems
- Experience guiding youth through the college application process
- Background working in an ethnically diverse community and in meeting the needs of the groups represented in Monterey County
- Strong initiative, self-starter, intrinsically motivated, problem solver
- Strong interpersonal skills and youth development experience
- Great organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, G-Suite, and Outlook
- Valid driver's license
- Must successfully clear Moving Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Occasional travel between Club sites is required
Desired Qualifications
- Oral and written fluency in spanish
- Knowledge of CSU & UC systems (application, financial aid,admissions etc)
