Job Summary
Deliver continuing education courses across yoga practice, philosophy, and related disciplines in person, online, and hybrid formats. Document the learning experience using observation records and provide reflective feedback on assignments and student materials. Conduct formative evaluations at the midpoint and summative evaluations at course conclusion. Engage with students continuously during sessions, discussions, and learning activities while collaborating with the Program Director and Fieldwork Coordinator. Attend informational and professional development meetings throughout each term via Zoom or in person. Maintain a culture of learning rooted in yoga ethics and lifelong development. Minimum 3 years of professional teaching experience and a valid RYT-200 certification are required. Salary range is $20–$60/hr for a seasonal, fixed-term staff position.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience teaching yoga, yoga philosophy, or a related discipline
- Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral), evidenced by experience preparing comprehensive reports and evaluations
- Highly developed organizational and leadership skills
- Demonstrated computer competency, knowledge of relevant systems, and willingness to learn digital platforms used in course delivery and evaluation, including video conferencing and learning management systems
- A valid 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200)
- Demonstrated knowledge of yoga philosophy, history, or a related specialized area
Desired Qualifications
- RYT-500 or advanced certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of yoga philosophy, history, or a related specialized area is strongly preferred depending on course assignment
