Job Summary
Conduct group exercise yoga classes adhering to Program Quality Guidelines while greeting members by name and prioritizing relationship building. Supervise participants to ensure safety, distribute evaluations, and maintain studio cleanliness. Stay current on branch programs, share health and fitness resources with the community, and serve as a professional YMCA representative. Obtain at least one approved training annually and assume responsibility for qualified substitutes when needed. Maintain good attendance, provide two weeks notice for schedule changes, and allow ten minutes for preparation and five minutes post-class for members. Arrive well-groomed in proper uniform and be familiar with emergency procedures. Complete all pre-hire certifications, including Yoga Alliance registration and CPR/AED, within the specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Possess and maintain current CPR/AED and Standard First Aid
- Yoga Alliance Registered
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
- Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally
- Attendance at staff meetings is mandatory
