Job Summary
Motivate members to explore group fitness classes, recreational sports programs, and club amenities while delivering a seamless instructional experience with solid cuing and modifications. Provide instruction on correct form and technique to ensure safety, demonstrate workouts as a role model, and assist with engaging members outside class to build community. Validate member access to paid programming, resolve concerns ensuring company guidelines are followed, and follow procedures for equipment usage and maintenance. Lead live or virtual classes for all ages, complete assigned trainings on time, and coach others for professional growth. Requires a flexible shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a salary of $24.90/hr when teaching. Audition required; certifications in AFAA, ACE, or similar needed for fitness classes.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- National certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, ISSA, etc.) or format specific training (i.e. Les Mills, Zumba, Keiser, U-Jam Fitness, etc.) accepted to teach free programming
- Must complete online and in-person internal training requirements to teach paid programming
- Lifeguard certification must be held to teach any aqua programming
- 2+ years of team sports experience need to teach free programming
- National certification is required to teach paid programming: (i.e. USPTA, USTA Net Generation, USAPA, IPTPA, US Masters certification)
- Audition is required as part of the selection process
- Strong motivational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Trustline Registered to coach children
- Willing and able to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible/positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well under pressure and time constraints
- Display positive behaviors in all member contacts
- Current CPR or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
