Job Summary
Guide members through proper equipment utilization and provide personalized workout programs for all machines. Explain fitness benefits, orient clients to the Fitlinxx or Fitness Advisor processes, and motivate participation in group exercise classes and wellness socials. Proactively identify and respond to potentially dangerous situations while supporting members throughout their healthy living journey. Share information regarding the YMCA mission, group exercise schedules, and branch services. Available Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 10:00pm plus weekends.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid and AED
- outgoing personality, enabling him/her to relate well to members
- team player helping out in other areas as required, incorporating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
- Must be able to bend, sit, stand, or pick-up at least 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS is exercise science or related field preferred
