Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist position providing individual, family, and group therapy within a school-based setting for youth and families served by MCPS, collaborating with educators, school staff, and community providers. Responsibilities include conducting bio-psycho-social assessments, developing treatment plans, crisis intervention, leading/co-leading psycho-educational and therapy groups, classroom observations, and coordinating with parents and school personnel. Requires a Master's degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy and active Maryland licensure; on-site year-round employment with driving between sites and flexibility to accommodate family schedules. Salary $75,000; benefits include licensure supervision, CEUs, and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy
- Current Maryland licensure as LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LGMFT, LCMFT or Psych Associate
- Knowledge of evidence-based models of treatment (e.g., CBT, DBT, Child Centered Play Therapy, Structural Family Therapy)
- Ability to drive between sites and have access to a vehicle
- Work schedule aligned with school calendar; availability during evenings/other hours as needed
