Job Summary
Lead and supervise engaging activities for Pre-K and Kindergarten students while designing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and routines. Provide mentorship and support to Group Leaders, monitor safety and behavior, and build strong relationships with children of all abilities. Communicate clearly with families and site leadership to maintain a positive environment for early learners. This part-time afternoon and evening role supports the Pre-K/Kindergarten program at the YMCA Loudoun Sterling Elementary, offering free membership and a 403(b) plan.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience with children ages 3–6 in a licensed or educational setting
- High school diploma or GED required
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Desired Qualifications
- CDA or early childhood coursework strongly preferred
- Experience fostering an environment for children of all abilities is valued
