Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the off-site program, including planning, development, and implementation of before and after school activities under the YMCA School Age Curriculum. Supervise senior group leaders, group leaders, and volunteers while maintaining staff-to-child ratios by utilizing substitutes as needed. Ensure site safety and compliance with licensing requirements, and effectively communicate with school principals and parents through newsletters and activity calendars. Available Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- graduate degree in a child-related field
- six month of programmatic experience
- bachelor's degree in a child-related filed
- one year of programmatic experience
- Forty-Eight semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit
- 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours in child-related subjects
- year of programmatic experience
- Two years of programmatic experience
- one year in a staff supervisory capacity
- at least one of the education backgrounds
- Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be physically active to play games and sports with the children
- Must be able to pick-up at least 35 pounds
- Must have visual acuity to observe all children
- Documentation of physical examination
- TB skin test
- Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background and/or fingerprinting
- Must have the critical skill of being able to relate to parents, school staff and children
- have a positive, creative attitude
