Job Summary
Lead playgroups for children ages birth to six and their caregivers by creating a warm environment, guiding developmentally appropriate activities, and conducting circle time with interactive reading and music. Connect families with parenting information and community resources while maintaining a clean, organized space. Collect grant data, attend staff meetings, and trainings under the supervision of the CFCE Grant Coordinator. Requires CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certification within 30 days. Work 2 hours weekly at $16/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a related field
- minimum of two years of experience working with young children
- Able to interact and communicate effectively with parents, children and staff
- Able to implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities
- Must be able to obtain certification in CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention within the first 30 days of hire
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
