Job Summary
As a Gymnastics Instructor at the YMCA Ayrlawn Program Center, you will oversee gymnastics program activities, provide instruction to youth, and ensure a safe environment during classes. Responsibilities include implementing age-appropriate lessons, motivating participants, and collaborating with other staff. Candidates should have experience in coaching gymnastics, knowledge of gymnastics techniques, and strong communication skills. A certification in CPR and First Aid is required upon hire, along with a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background and/or fingerprinting
- Completion of the YMCA Gymnastics Fundamentals Course (or waiver by the Gymnastics Director if experience is sufficient)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching gymnastics, preferably with youth athletes
- Knowledge of gymnastics skills and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire
