Job Summary
Manage Young Life ministry operations in North Seattle, focusing on WyldLife development at a public middle school. Lead spiritual development, recruit and train volunteer leaders, and execute fundraising events while actively engaging in direct ministry through clubs, Campers, and camping strategies. Handle administrative duties including donor care, financial stewardship, and strategic planning to support the Christian mission of evangelism and discipleship. Work closely with the Area Director, parents, and community members to build sustainable relationships with middle school students.
Required Qualifications
- Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord
- Subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith
- Be ready, willing and able to fulfill such ministry functions as may be required by the organization
- Refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life
- Abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities
- Experience in direct ministry
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to handle conditions including extremes of a camp including heat/cold, dirt, long hours and the physical demands of hiking, horseback riding, boating and more
- Must be able to initiate relationships with students, parents, and potential volunteers
- Have a desire to grow as a ministry leader
- Have a heart for the marginalized in our community and ministries
Desired Qualifications
- College degree preferred
