Job Summary
Manage Young Life ministry through formal training and direct field experience, leading teams in spiritual development, leadership recruitment, and resource fundraising. Actively engage in contact work, club operations, and summer camping strategy while serving on annual camp assignments. Develop yearly personal growth plans, maintain donor relationships, and execute strategic ministry initiatives to reach every kid. Adhere to all policies, manage finances with transparency, and complete core training phases within two years. Handle work conditions including camp extremes such as heat, cold, and physical demands like hiking and boating.
Required Qualifications
- profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord
- subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith
- be ready, willing and able to fulfill such ministry functions as may be required by the organization
- refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life
- abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities
- Experience in direct ministry
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Staff person must be able to handle the extremes of a camp including: heat/cold, dirt, long hours and the physical demands of hiking, horseback riding, boating and more
Desired Qualifications
- College degree preferred
