Yield and Characterization Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Job Summary

Monitor electrical performance trends, disposition of holds, and support urgent fab operational issues while driving yield improvement projects across wafer, kerf, and inline tests. Analyze material and change review board data, conduct abnormal product investigations, and develop yield characterization methodologies to identify yield limiters and correlate them to in-line defectivity. Support process module engineering to improve cost, cycle-time, and manufacturing robustness through direct and indirect communication with customers and cross-functional teams. Perform all activities adhering to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • Understanding of semiconductor technology

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience

  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • 1+ years experience in semiconductor industry
  • Customer facing experience
