Job Summary
Monitor and control visitor access to campus facilities, maintain an orderly post, and direct traffic when needed. Fulfill duties associated with the School's safety plan to maximize the safety of students, staff, and the community. Respond to crises, monitor alarms and security equipment, and collaborate with internal and external personnel on critical incidents. Represent USM at events and activities to resolve issues and establish goodwill. Actively participate in training programs for safety and accident prevention. This role requires a former law enforcement officer with HR-218 L.E.O.S.A. certification, flexible shifts, and a valid driver's license.

- Ability to work flexible shifts and variable scheduling based on school needs
- Possession of a valid HR-218 L.E.O.S.A. certification, or must be able to successfully attain the certification within 60 days of hire
- Former law enforcement officer experience required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment tests including physical agility, drug, and psychological evaluation tests
- Prior school experience desirable
- Current driver's license
