Job Summary
As an Aquatics Lifeguard at Life Time, you will monitor the pool deck to maintain safety and provide customer service to Members. Responsibilities include rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning, administering first aid, ensuring swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous areas, and helping with aquatics events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza. You will interact with Members and Guests, enforce safety rules, keep the pool area clean, and support a fast-paced aquatic environment. Required skills include the ability to swim 300 yards, tread water for 1 minute, retrieve a diving brick, effective communication with guests, and completion of lifesaving certifications. Preferred experience includes 6 months of customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED in progress
- StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
- BLS CPR and First Aid certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year)
- Ability to swim 300 yards without stopping
- Ability to tread water for 1 minute
- Ability to retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim it to the top
