Job Summary
The Site Director is responsible for supervising daily activities at the afterschool site, ensuring safety and implementing programs for a positive learning environment. Essential duties include planning and executing daily programs, maintaining records, and fostering communication with parents and staff. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and adherence to YMCA's core values. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, with preferred additional education or relevant experience, CPR certification, and a strong commitment to community service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CPR/First Aid and AED certified within 90 days of employment
- Completion of the 45-hour childcare courses within the first year of employment
- Strong desire to serve others
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, or English and Creole
- Experience in customer service
- Experience in educational settings
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a thorough Level II fingerprinting background screening
- Must pass a drug test
