Job Summary
Conduct complete intake and registration for students in the YOUTH FORCE Program, then coordinate case management by working with agencies to facilitate information sharing and refer families to appropriate counseling services. Maintain accurate case records and documentation while assisting with prevention curriculum development and onsite operations. Monitor program initiatives for youth and their families, ensuring proper staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times. Adhere to Child Abuse & Neglect reporting requirements and confidentiality standards. Provide direct supervision to interns and volunteers as needed. Work with culturally diverse students, families, and staff across designated school sites, utilizing Microsoft Office tools for reporting and correspondence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and a major in social work or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in working with adolescents in an educational criminal justice, or human services setting
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before individuals, public groups and employees of the organization
- Experience coordinating youth development and youth enrichment programs
- Effective organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain open channels of communication between home and school
- Knowledge of school/community relationships and community problems, interests and concerns
- Strong organizational and leadership ability
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Ability to work with a wide variety of community groups, organizations, district staff, consultants, students and parents
- Outgoing personality enjoys speaking to people
- Innate desire to provide excellent customer service
- Primarily works in an office environment in the mornings, however daily visits to designated school sites
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions
- Being in good physical health with full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
- Occasionally requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours
- As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit to and satisfactorily clear a thorough Level II fingerprint background screening
- As a Drug-Free Employer, all new hires must successfully complete a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Professional training in child abuse is preferred
