Job Summary
Manage Before & After School and Summer Camp operations in Broward County, including budget development, site inspections, and daily supervision of Site Directors and counselors. Recruit, hire, and discipline staff while enforcing safety regulations and licensing compliance. Act as a community representative to agencies such as the School Board and Department of Children and Families, ensuring grant compliance and outcome reporting. Monitor nutrition counts, payroll, and accounts receivable, while leading fundraising efforts and developing staff training plans. This role requires a 90% desk/hands-on schedule split between executing performance metrics, customer service, and administrative duties. The Program Director will work primarily in an office environment with frequent travel by automobile to program sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, and Child Development or related field
- Minimum two years of experience managing youth development programs
- Three years of experience working directly with youth in organized out-of-school-time settings
- Experience working with budgets, developing a budget, fiscal management of programs, and fund raising
- Florida Directors Credential or must obtain Director's Credential within 18 months of employment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound fiscal management practices

- Ability to adequately observe program activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate policies and procedures
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Bilingual, English and Spanish
- Must be able to drive often for meetings and other work-related duties
- Must successfully complete a drug test
- Must satisfactorily clear a thorough Level II fingerprint background screening
- Must be able to work irregular hours
Desired Qualifications

- YMCA management experience desirable
