Job Summary
Provide a safe and secure environment for juveniles at the Winnebago Youth Shelter and YCIC; perform intake and orientation for youth, parents/guardians, attorneys, social workers, and other personnel; apply trauma-informed care; coordinate with caseworkers, guardians, and agencies on policies and procedures; implement behavior management techniques; monitor youth throughout shifts; assist with meals, daily housekeeping, and confidentiality; contribute to crisis intervention and support services for youth with emotional/behavioral needs; be able to work flexible, 24/7 schedules and handle physically demanding tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with two years of college or one year demonstrated experience working with at-risk youth (or combination)
