Job Summary
YCHS Girls JV Head Soccer Coach at Yuba City High School. Responsible for organizing and supervising the girls soccer program, coaching the team, mentoring student athletes, supervising assistant coaches, coordinating with athletic director and principals, scheduling practices and games, and promoting good sportsmanship and character development. The role involves implementing athletic policies, training staff, directing student managers, handling equipment and facilities, and engaging with parents and the community to advocate for the sport.
Required Qualifications
- Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
- Has previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
- Has substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continues to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
- Serves as a role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.
- Trains and informs staff, encourages professional growth, and coordinates with athletic director and principals.
- Manages administrative duties including scheduling, transportation, and tournament requirements.
- Directs student managers, assistants, and statisticians; oversees discipline and due process when enforcement is necessary.
- Assists athletes in college or advanced educational selection.
- Maintains equipment and facilities, ensuring safety and proper use.
- Promotes the sport within the school and community; maintains good public relations with media, booster clubs, parents, officials, volunteers, and fans.
- Organizes preseason meetings and engages in recruiting athletes for the sport.
