YBASE Site Coordinator- District 1

The YBASE Site Coordinator will lead and supervise children ages 4-14 across District 1 sites (e.g., Pooler area locations). Responsibilities include actively engaging groups indoors and outdoors, planning and implementing curriculum with the Program Director, maintaining attendance and records, coordinating school-day to parent-pickup transitions (including transportation records), supervising transportation duties to meet state requirements, assisting with sign-in/out and family integration, sanitizing and maintaining health standards, managing meal/snack counts and reporting to Second Harvest and the cafeteria, upholding YMCA professionalism and respectful communication, communicating with legal guardians about developmental or behavioral concerns, implementing Quality Rated practices, participating in feedback and family engagement events, maintaining personnel and participant files, reporting suspected abuse as a Mandated Reporter, attending staff meetings and trainings, providing staff development and participating in hiring, ensuring compliance with policies and state licensing requirements, and meeting annual training hour requirements. The role also supports retention and satisfaction of YMCA members and may contribute to Annual Campaign fundraising. Qualifications emphasize experience with school-age children, background checks, and required trainings; a CDA/technical college certificate or a Bachelor Degree is acceptable, with relevant experience substituting for formal education. The organization requires zero tolerance for abuse and commits to thorough investigations where applicable.
