Job Summary
Yaruba Linguist position supporting Language Support Services (LSS) for Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. and The Unconventional. Responsibilities include interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction. Open evergreen requisition covering multiple current and future requirements across YSG/TU with opportunities across various clients, projects, and locations; candidates may be considered for a range of language support roles. Requires proficiency in English per ILR levels, ability to conduct accurate interpretation/translation, familiarity with local culture, willingness to work in harsh environments, and strong teamwork within a professional environment. Clearances and security considerations per CAT I-III classifications, with travel possible and remote/CONUS work noted.
Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified/certified at one of the following Categories I-III as described: ILR level 2+ English proficiency, security vetting requirements, U.S. citizenship or local nationals for CAT I/II, TOP SECRET/SCI where applicable, ability to provide idiomatic translations, consecutive interpretation, and classroom instruction as needed.
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students.
