Job Summary

Empty trash trailers, bail cardboard, and deliver chemicals and lubricants. Clean inedible docks in the morning and afternoon, pickup trash from the guard shack, front of plant, maintenance shop, truck shop, boiler room, engine room, rendering office, and pens. Empty chemical barrels in racks, break down combos, dispose of trash, bail combos, gather pallets, and take them to the pallet wash. Perform trolley rebuilds, cutting board resurfacing, and barrel fan repairs. Mow, weed-eat, and control weeds; handle snow cleanup, ice control, and equipment on call for snow removal. Clean yards, fill spray barrels and jugs for pens, pick up shredded paper from offices for disposal, put production supplies away in the offal dock, and unload equipment and material trucks as needed. Work extended hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime in varied temperatures. Required Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job
  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to successfully complete Safety training
  • Must be able to successfully complete Safe Quality Food (SQF) training
  • Must be able to successfully complete Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) training
  • Must be able to successfully complete Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training
  • Must be able to successfully complete Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) training
  • Must be able to successfully complete Food defense training

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility
  • Prior production experience
  • Work history in the last 12 months
