Job Summary
Loads and unloads company trucks, inspects equipment prior to shipment and on return for serviceability, and notifies the shop foreman on damaged or missing items. Assists rental counter personnel in selecting rental-ready equipment, processes returns and closing contracts, and installs service tags on returned gear. Moves equipment to storage following maintenance procedures, presents ready-to-rent inventory, and performs general housekeeping of the warehouse and yard. Greets customers, directs them to office or unloading areas, and provides operating instructions on rental equipment. This role requires a Class 5 Driver's License and minimum three months of forklift or construction equipment experience. The position is based in Edmonton, AB on a 5x2 shift (Monday to Friday), with union membership required immediately. Finning, the world's largest Caterpillar dealer, operates in three geographies and offers CAT certified training and a share purchase plan.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, Large forklift (>30,000 Lbs.) and/or operating construction equipment
- Class 5 Drivers License with no restrictions
- successful drivers abstract
- Solid understanding of rental equipment
- sufficient mechanical skills to perform and/or recommend minor equipment repairs
