Job Summary
outdoors-focused yard role performing vehicle dismantling and preparation for yard setting. Responsibilities include draining fluids and removing parts from vehicles, removing components such as converters, setting vehicles in the yard, recording information, potentially operating a forklift or loader, cleaning debris, pulling batteries for testing, staging vehicles with Loader Operator, walking the yard to remove debris, dismantling tires, maintaining a safe/clean work environment, ensuring EPA and OSHA compliance, wearing PPE, following company policies, supporting continuous quality-system improvements, and taking on additional duties as assigned. Requires teamwork, alertness, effective communication, and the ability to work variable schedules in outdoor conditions with physical demands such as standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, and exposure to moving machinery.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.
- General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work.
- Must be able to work in cooperation with others.
- Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
- Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends
