Yard Worker

Dismantle and prep salvaged vehicles in an outdoor yard. Remove fluids, lubricants, and components (eg, converters) safely and efficiently to prepare vehicles for setting in the yard. Works primarily outdoors removing vehicle parts such as quarter panels, doors, hoods, axles, and suspension. Set vehicles in the yard and record information accurately and promptly. May operate a forklift or loader to move vehicles between process areas and the yard. Clean debris from vehicles before processing. Pull batteries to be tested and bring charged batteries to the retail area. Collaborate with Loader Operator to stage or move vehicles properly. Walk the yard to remove debris and dismantle tires. Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure EPA and OSHA regulations are followed. Wear all required PPE and comply with company policies. Initiate and support continual improvement of the quality improvement system. Assume other duties as assigned.
