Job Summary
Yard Workers provide customer service, sales assistance, and maintain a safe working environment in the yard area of Star Nursery stores. Responsibilities include following operational standards for quality and safety, loading and unloading plant material, operating a forklift, product quality control, stock management, and performing general plant upkeep. Key skills include planning, problem resolution, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Applicants should have relevant experience in the lawn and garden industry, and be adaptable to outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Effective and relevant work experience in lawn and garden center industry or equivalent
- Must be able to work long hours in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift & move plant material
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Authorization to work in the United States
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift
