Job Summary
Work under a Shop Supervisor to interpret blueprints, inspect materials, and perform final weld inspections on completed weldments. Operate an Oxy/Acetylene torch and weld using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW processes in various positions, while grinding and gouging metal as required. Apply fitting techniques with key plates and shims, operate cranes to move materials, and perform basic maintenance on hydraulic systems. Ensure all weldments meet AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100 standards. This full-time, in-person role at Phoenix Fabricators and Erectors involves Monday-to-Friday schedules with overtime eligibility and 40+ hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of welding experience
- Ability to weld using FCAW and GMAW processes
- Working knowledge of all aspects of the welding industry
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work 40+ hours per week
- Demonstrated safe and positive work habits
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of stainless steel or aluminum welding experience
- Basic mechanical skills
