Job Summary
Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials, then count and record receipts before stocking items in appropriate bins or storage locations. Operate a forklift safely with foot and hand controls to build outgoing orders, load delivery equipment, or transport materials using a company vehicle. Monitor inventory levels, assist in counting and organizing warehouse materials, and maintain an organized work environment by emptying trash and keeping bays clean. Perform deliveries, transfer inventory between locations, and complete other business-related tasks after required training and authorization.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to read orders
- Ability to write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to learn to read a tape measure
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
- Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems, and other necessary business applications)
- Ability to operate a forklift with foot and hand controls
- Ability to operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g. bander, power tools, various hand tools)
- Ability to monitor inventory
- Ability to operate a company vehicle to transport materials, perform deliveries, transfer inventory between locations, or complete other business-related tasks after completing required training and authorization
