Job Summary
Receive incoming products, count and record receipts, and stock materials in appropriate bins. Operate a forklift safely to build outgoing orders, load deliveries, or transport materials between locations. Maintain an organized work environment by emptying trash, cleaning bays, and assisting with inventory control. Perform other duties as assigned while adhering to safety procedures and completing required trainings. Valid driver's license and ability to read orders are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to read orders
- Ability to write instructions and complete forms
- Ability/willingness to learn to read a tape measure
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
- Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems, and other necessary business applications)
- Ability to operate a forklift with foot and hand controls
- Ability to operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g. bander, power tools, various hand tools)
- Ability to monitor inventory
- Ability to operate a company vehicle to transport materials, perform deliveries, transfer inventory between locations, or complete other business-related tasks after completing required training and authorization
