Job Summary
Operate forklift to move inventory, receive and stock materials, count and record receipts, and assist with loading outgoing orders. Maintain organized bays and staging areas, support inventory control, and participate in safety initiatives. Train and mentor new associates, participate in Safety Committee Engagement and US1 Continuous Improvement Projects, and provide excellent customer service while complying with policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years industry experience / freight handling required
- Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems and other necessary business applications)
- Demonstration of leadership (three out of four required): Mentor new associates; Willing to train others; Safety committee engagement; Participation in US1 Continuous Improvement Projects
