Job Summary
Maintain yard cleanliness, organization, and functionality by removing debris, operating equipment like forklifts and tractors safely, and arranging items according to company guidelines. Assist with loading and unloading materials, perform basic maintenance tasks including equipment cleaning and minor repairs, and support inventory control by tracking items and reporting discrepancies. Provide customer assistance by locating and retrieving items while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Work collaboratively with team members to meet organizational goals, reporting hazards and incidents to the supervisor as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate yard equipment safely and effectively
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a yard or outdoor work setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work in variable weather conditions
- Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace
- Must be eligible to work in the United States (E-Verify)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in yard maintenance, construction, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and record-keeping
