Job Summary
Oversee daily yard operations in a metals recycling environment, supervise a yard workforce including equipment operators, laborers, and material handlers, and actively support scrap processing. Lead material flow from inbound scale through sorting, processing, and outbound shipments of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Operate and supervise heavy equipment such as material handlers, loaders, excavators, and shear equipment. Track production metrics, inventory levels, and daily throughput; enforce safety standards and equipment protocols; manage employee productivity and attendance; coordinate with leadership on production goals, scheduling, and continuous improvement. The role is a hands-on supervisory position with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturday requirement, located in Warrensville, PA, with relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory experience within metals recycling, scrap processing, steel, foundry, or heavy industrial environments
- Hands-on experience working with ferrous and/or non-ferrous metals, including material grading and identification
- Experience operating and supervising use of heavy equipment such as material handlers, loaders, excavators, and shear equipment
- Ability to work in a high-volume, outdoor industrial yard environment
- Ability to work a rotating Saturday schedule as required
- Demonstrated experience maintaining safe work practices in an industrial setting
