Job Summary
Oversee daily yard operations, ensuring the site remains organized, clean, and safe while receiving, organizing, and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies for field crews. Maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for deliveries, and assist with loading, unloading, and equipment maintenance. Conduct regular inspections of storage areas and assets to identify safety concerns or damage, then report issues to management. Participate in yard closing procedures, secure facilities at day's end, and communicate operational needs to leadership. Perform all other duties as assigned in this fast-paced outdoor environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to safely operate a Bobcat, loader, and other company equipment as required
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment as required
- Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work outdoors throughout the workday
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, warehouse, yard operations, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate or learn to operate company equipment and vehicles safely
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced environment
- Basic computer and inventory tracking skills preferred
