Job Summary
Yard Supervisor at Detroit scrapyard responsible for assigning and scheduling daily tasks to meet production goals, ensuring materials, equipment, and tools are available and in working order, maintaining organization of yard and supplies, creating production schedules and estimating worker-hours, maintaining safe work environment, adjusting procedures to meet production schedules, and coordinating activities with other supervisors. Requires High School Diploma/GED and prior supervisor experience; proficient in MS Office; strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentorship abilities; pre-employment background and drug screening required. The role is based in Detroit, MI and involves on-site supervision of yard operations within the Ferrous Processing and Trading division of Cleveland-Cliffs.
Required Qualifications

- Previous supervisor experience
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making
